Even I get a little shocked when I see how long it’s been since I posted. I’ve written tons of things in my own mind! Here’s a little run down on what’s been going on.

Life.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. This is one of the most difficult obstacles to my writing schedule. When I felt good over the past year, I spent my time working on my book. I have good days and I have bad days. Which means even though I have a schedule and goals, some days (like yesterday) I can accomplish very little in the creative realm.

My husband brought home a kitten. An outdoor type cat, to chase the mice away. However, the silly thing has glommed onto me, a DOG lover and spends his days following me around. He likes to go to work with me. Sits on command. Comes when he is called (and his not otherwise preoccupied). And keeps me company. Unlike my dogs, which act more like cats. Go figure.

This tiny guy was about three pounds and cute as a button.

I finished book one in my Cascade Mountain Romance series. (That’s just what I’m calling it at this point.) And began working on book two. I have a lot planned for this year–including finishing book two and pursuing publication.

My kids started college last year, and although you’d think that meant lots of free time…it really didn’t. I’m still figuring out the whole work from home and not let everyone interrupt thing. But we are doing much better.

And I started book two in my Cascade Mountain Romance series.

Believe me, there is a lot of things happening behind the scenes. It is my hope and prayer that as this year reveals itself, I am able to get more words out into the world. I’m a strong believer in God’s timing and that He still has a plan.

“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” –Philippians 4:13

Do you ever get to the end of a day, week or year and look back and think–where did all the time go?

The lil’ monster is about nine months old, a whopping ten pounds, and as long as a garden snake.
