My first novella, “Next Christmas,” releases this summer, and I’m so excited to share the cover with you here.

It’s a fun holiday tale in the same vein as one of those Christmas romances many people love, and tons of people satire. I happen to be one that loves them! “Next Christmas” will release later this year—more on that later. It is a fun, light-hearted romance with a wee bit of soul searching. Although it starts and begins with Christmas, there’s a lot of holidays sprinkled throughout the story. So, summer will be the perfect time to introduce you to this adorable couple.

The whole thing has come together in a crazy, God sort of way. I wrote the entire novella in about two weeks at the end of October 2020. (That was the first amazing thing!) I set out to design the cover, hoping to find an image that would capture the fun and romance of the story. And then I remembered some fabulous engagement photos from two of my former students. I had jokingly exclaimed, “You need to be the cover models for one of my books.”

Well…I decided to do a little research and found the perfect photo. I had to do the legal things—like asking permission and obtaining rights. And the creative thing—you know, designing the cover.

So, guess what?

I obtained rights. I received permission. And here we are.

I look forward to telling you more about Ginny and Ben’s story, but for now, just enjoy the lovely cover.
